Humanoid Robots: 32 Platforms Across 11 Countries

The global race for humanoid robots is heating up, and the players are lining up fast. By one count, there are at least 32 large-scale humanoid robot platforms owned by 29 organizations across 11 countries.

China leads on sheer numbers with 16 machines, while the United States has 7. The rest come from Europe, Canada, Israel, Japan, Singapore, and South Korea.

The takeaway is clear: this is now a truly international field, with several regions building serious hardware rather than just concepts. Quantity aside, the quality gap is narrowing quickly — and the competition among these platforms is only going to accelerate from here.
